Fan Zhong (right), a former senior executive of Dongfeng Motor Corp, was placed under disciplinary investigation on Dec 26. He was the latest in a series of industry figures to be scrutinized by anti-graft watchdogs.
Fan's investigation came after Ren Yong, assistant general manager of Dongfeng, was suspected of "serious law and discipline violations" and was placed under internal investigation on Dec 9.
Dongfeng is not the only automaker to sufer from the central government's anti-corruption efforts.
Some officials at FAW and its subsidiaries were suspected of law and discipline violations in July.
