China 2011 crude oil consumption to grow 6.6%

BEIJING - China's crude oil consumption is projected to grow 6.6 percent in 2011, down from a 13.1 percent pace in 2010, data from the China Petroleum and Chemcial Industry Federation showed on Wednesday.

But the federation said natural gas consumption would continue to grow at a fast pace of about 15.0 percent, down slightly from 15.9 percent in 2010.

It said 2011 crude oil output would grow about 4.0 percent in 2011.
