Ornamental lotus flowers grow farmers' earnings 20 times

Lvshan village in East China's Zhejiang province has long produced lotus roots, and in order to increase local earnings, farmers in the village have started to plant ornamental lotus flowers to attract more tourists. A total of 1 mu (0.07 hectares) ornamental lotus flowers can earn a farmer 80,000 yuan, which is 20 times higher than if they just planted general lotus flowers.
