China's decision to invite more African countries to the G20 Summit firmly brought into focus the need for inclusiveness as the world pursues sustainable economic development. Africa has to be part of this growth.

Consequently, it also came at an opportune time when Africa is reeling over challenges such as falling commodity markets and illicit capital outflow, two of its biggest challenges. We are moving away from aid to trade and investment, and China has adequately set this agenda through its dealings with the continent.
