China's property developer eyes investment in high-end town in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH -- China's property developer - Country Garden Holdings Company has been exploring possibility to build a high-end town in Cambodia.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen Thursday met with Yang Guoqiang, chairman of the company, and expressed his hope to see the company invest in the country, according to Eang Sophalleth, a personal assistant to the prime minister.

The prime minister noted that the company's town-building plan in Cambodia would contribute to boosting economic growth if it became a reality, Eang Sophalleth said.

Country Garden Holdings Company operates as an investment holding company, which engages in property development, construction, fitting and decoration, property management and hotel operation.
