Zhejiang Export Fair Osaka 2013 kicks off
OSAKA -- Zhejiang Export Fair Osaka 2013 opened here on Tuesday, with more than 230 trading firms as well as manufacturers from the eastern Chinese province attending the event.
The four-day event, held at INTEX Osaka (International Exhibition Center Osaka), is organized by the Osaka International Business Promotion Center in cooperation with the department of commerce of Zhejiang province.
The trade fair covers a total of 7,000 square meters where 360 exhibition stalls are allocated. A wide range of products such as bags, shoes, clothes, gardening tools, home fabrics and daily commodities are on display.
At the opening on Tuesday morning, Masanobu Yamada, general manager of the IBPC Osaka told Xinhua that his Osaka-based organization hired business matching specialists to encourage especially small and medium-sized enterprises to strengthen their commercial tie-ups with Chinese companies.
"I promise that that our fair will further boost business opportunities between Osaka and its surrounding Kansai Region, and Zhejiang province to create a win-win situation for everyone involved here," manager of the organizer Yamada said.
In the exhibition hall, meanwhile, Dong Zhigang, director at the Osaka office for Zhejiang Zitic Import and Export Co, which is largely dealing in disaster supplies, also hoped the fair would further boost business opportunities between the two countries, stressing that the Chinese firms in the exhibition hall are anytime ready for consultation regarding the variety of products as well the price.
The organizer expects more than 5,000 buyers to come to the trade fair.
