Ferrari F12berlineta made its Asia premiere during the first media day of the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2012) in Beijing on Monday. The F12berlineta is the first in anew generation of Maranello's flagship 12-cylinder cars.
The F12berlinetta, powered by a V12 engine, is the most powerful and high-performance road-going Ferrari car. The car is built around Ferrari's transaxle layout, and boasts advanced aerodynamics.
The car is shorter, lower and narrower than the previous V12 coupe. Its wheelbase is shorter, its engine and driver position are lower. The new suspension and gearbox layout yielded a more compact tail section. It also boasts a 54 percent weight distribution over the rear axle, and the gravity center is lower and further back in the chassis.
With a Fiorano lap time of 1'23", 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.1 seconds, and 0-200 km/h covered in 8.5 seconds. The F12berlinetta delivers the maximum driving involvement ensured by a handling balance. The sporty handling is equally nimble on the road as on the track, as well as responsive.
The car's fuel efficiency is boosted by 30 percent to 15 liter per 100-kilometer, and the carbon dioxide emission is 350 gram per kilometer.
