The Ministry of Environmental Protection suggested 13 national departments carry out economic policies and regulations to encourage the companies to use environmentally-friendly equipment, in order to promote technology upgrades and reduce carbon emissions.
The ministry encouraged companies to apply environmental protection manufacturing techniques to prevent pollution in 14 industries including chemical, coating, pharmaceutical, nonferrous metals, refining, mining and construction, Economic Information Daily reported on Monday.
