China drafts law on exit, entry administration

BEIJING - The minimum stay for foreigners holding work certificates will be shortened to 90 days, while the period of validity for a residence certificate will range from 180 days to five years, according to a draft law being discussed during an ongoing legislative session.

The draft law on exit and entry administration was submitted Tuesday to the National People's Congress Standing Committee, the country's top legislature, for its third reading.
