The new generation Volkswagen Beetle is celebrating a simultaneous transcontinental world debut in Shanghai, Berlin and New York.

With advanced turbo petrol and diesel engines, the car demonstrates significantly reduced fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to the previous generation first launched in 1998. It offers fuel consumption as low as 4.3 liters every 100 km and power ranging from 77 kW to 147 kW.

The most visible change in the exterior is the flatter roofline. The car is 4,278 mm long, 1,808 mm wide, 1,486 mm high, and has a 2,537 mm wheelbase.
