A charity movie named Sunlight (Sheng Si Chun Hui) has started production in Beijing on Friday.

The movie, co-produced by CPPCC Newspaper Office, Art Institute of Jinzhou City, Liaoning Deying Petrochemical Corporation and Bohan Culture Media Agency, is a story about a successful peasant entrepreneur helping a poverty-stricken family and changing their lives.

Liu Weiming, chief editor of CPPCC Newspaper Office, made a speech at the launching ceremony.

There has been a series of negative incidents in China's charity sector in recent months, which caused great public concern. Given the background, the movie aims to carry forward traditional Chinese virtues and encourage people to perform good deeds, Liu said.
