China's fixed-asset investment up 25.4%

BEIJING-- China's fixed-asset investment rose 25.4 percent year on year to 15.24 trillion yuan ($2.36 trillion) in the first seven months of this year, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced Tuesday.
In July, fixed asset investments rose by 0.27 percent month on month after falling 1.04 percent month on month in June.
In the first seven months, investment in the nation's property sector rose 33.6 percent year on year to reach 3.19 trillion yuan, of which 2.28 trillion yuan went toward residential housing, an increase of 36.4 percent over the same period last year.
