China's May electricity use up 10.8%

BEIJING -- China's electric power consumption in May rose 10.8 percent year on year to reach 386.5 billion kilowatt-hours, according to data released Tuesday by the National Energy Administration.

The consumption has slowed from the 11.2-percent growth in April.
