Oil and natural gas company Total Lubricants Ltd donated 86 second-hand computers to a remote primary school in Dafang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, China Radio International Online reported.

The school in the impoverished Dafang was refurbished in 2003. However, the computers were badly needed, the report said. The 12 desktop and 74 laptop computers will be used to improve the school's teaching facilities.

In 2008, the company donated more than 4 million yuan through the Red Cross Society of China to quake-stricken Sichuan province in an effort to help disaster relief works.
