Gold price opens lower in Hong Kong - May 12

HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong went down HK$ 216 to open at HK$13,940 per tael on Thursday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to $1,505.4 a troy ounce, down $23.53 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.773.
