Shanghai stock indices close mixed -- May 11

BEIJING -- China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 2,883.42 points Wednesday, down 7.21 points, or 0.25 percent, from the previous close.

A Share Index: 3,019.57 points, down 7.60 points, or 0.25 percent;

B Share Index: 304.37 points, up 0.12 points, or 0.04 percent;

Total Turnover: 107.8 billion yuan ($16.61 billion).
