Chinese shares close 0.13% higher at midday - May 11

BEIJING -- Chinese shares closed higher in the morning session on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 3.69 points, or 0.13 percent, to 2,894.33.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 41.95 points, or 0.34 percent, to 12,258.89.
