HONG KONG -- Hong Kong's official foreign currency reserve assets amounted to $276.9 billion at the end of April, up $4.3 billion from the previous month, said the city's Monetary Authority (HKMA) on Monday.

There were no unsettled forward contracts at the end of April and March, said the HKMA in a statement.

The bureau also released that the total foreign currency reserve assets represented about nine times the currency in circulation in the city or 55 percent of Hong Kong dollar M3.
