MOC says US dumps cars on Chinese market

BEIJING - China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Saturday that the United States has dumped sedans and sport utility vehicles with engines bigger than 2.5 liters of displacement on the Chinese market.

The manufacturers of the automobiles received subsidies from the US government, thereby harming China's automotive industry, the ministry said in a statement on its website.

The announcement may be followed by a ruling on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties once China completes its investigation.
