Chinese shares close mixed Monday

BEIJING -- Chinese shares closed mixed Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 6.19 points, or 0.21 percent, to 2,984.01.

The Shenzhen Component Index declined 66.55 points, or 0.51 percent, to 12,875.52.
