China stocks close higher Friday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed higher Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 39.33 points, or 1.35 percent, to end at 2,942.31, the highest close since mid-November.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.54 percent, or 195.68 points, to finish at 12,893.84 points.
