China to issue 10b yuan of book-entry discount T-bonds next week

BEIJING - China's Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Friday it will sell 10 billion yuan ($1.48 billion) of book-entry discount Treasury bonds from next Monday.

The bonds will be sold at a discount and mature at face value, said the ministry in a statement on its website.

With a term of 91 days, the issue price of the discount bonds will be 99.6 yuan, said the ministry.

The bonds will be sold from Sept 13 to 15 and can be traded on the inter-bank and securities bond market from Sept 17.

The issue is 12th batch of its kind this year.
