China may introduce a 10-year development plan for the nation's alternative energy industry at the end of next month, the China Securities Journal reported today, citing an unidentified official with the National Energy Administration.

The nation may invest 5 trillion yuan ($736 billion) in the alternative energy industry from 2011 to 2020 and create an additional 15 million jobs, the newspaper reported.
