HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks dropped 0.75 percent on Wednesday after a sharp two-day rally as renewed concerns about the global economy prompted investors to book gains after a fall in US consumer confidence spurred losses on Wall Street.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index ended 155.26 points lower to close at 20,467.74, easing after hitting its highest close in nearly three weeks on Tuesday.
Turnover was HK$53.99 billion ($6.95 billion).
