Hong Kong's total exports volume fell 14.1 percent in August compared with the same month last year, the Census and Statistics Department of Hong Kong special administrative region government said on Tuesday.
The Census and Statistics Department said the volume of imports dropped 7.4 percent, while domestic exports dropped 33.5 percent and Hong Kong's re-exports fell 13.5 percent.

Prices of re-exports of goods rose 1.3 percent in this year's first eight months compared with the same period last year, while those of domestic exports rose 0.2 percent.
Compared with the same month last year, double-digit decreases were recorded for the total export volume in August to Germany at 23.8 percent, the UK at 21.6 percent, the United States at 12.8 percent and the Chinese mainland at 12.1 percent but the decrease for Japan was only 4.8 percent.
The import volume from all main suppliers decreased, such as the United States at 17.9 percent, Japan at 15.1 percent, the Chinese mainland at 8.9 percent, China's Taiwan at 5.2 percent and Singapore at 2.2 percent.
