The ministry said China's chloroprene rubber industry had filed an application for a review of dumping and dumping margin measures of Japanese rubber exporters on June 8.

China imposed temporary anti-dumping measures on imported chloroprene rubber from Japan, the United States and the European Union on Dec 1, 2004, and officially initiated measures on May 10, 2005, to expire after five years.

Chloroprene rubber is mainly used in producing housing for electrical wiring and cables, rubber tubing and as a raw material for waterproofing products.

The review is scheduled to be completed in 12 months.
