Jiang Jiemin, chairman and president of listed PetroChina Co Ltd, will give up his position as president of the company, Caijing Magazine reported, citing sources from PetroChina parent China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC). The report said the move is a routine personnel change. An announcement is expected within a few days. The position of general manager of CNPC and president of listed PetroChina are in practice held by separate persons. The vice general manager of CNPC usually serves as president of PetroChina at the same time, the report said. The report said Jiang will still be the general manager of State-owned CNPC and chairman of PetroChina. Zhou Jiping, vice general manager of CNPC and a PetroChina board member, will replace Jiang as president of PetroChina, the report added.
