Suning profit jumps

China's second-largest electronics retail chain Suning Appliance Co Ltd said yesterday that its unaudited net profit rose 105 percent year-on-year to 720 million yuan for 2006.

Revenue jumped 56 percent to 24.9 billion yuan last year as the company opened 136 shops across the country, the company said in a statement yesterday. As of the end of 2006, Suning Appliance had 351 retail outlets in 90 Chinese cities.
