China Enterprises Index down 0.67%, 02/26(Xinhua)Updated: 2007-02-27 10:16 Hang Seng China Enterprises Index dipped 66.83 points, or 0.67 percent, to close the day's trading at 9,889.47 on Monday. The H-shares index, initiated in August 1994 and readjusted on September 11, 2006, tracks the overall performance of 37 Chinese mainland State-owned enterprises listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Hang Seng China H-Financials Index lost 161.91 points, or 1.35 percent, to close at 11,790.30. The H-Financials Index, initiated on November 27, 2006, tracks the performance of eight major banks and insurers of the Chinese mainland. Hang Seng China-Affiliated Corporations Index lost 62.62 points, or 1.73 percent, to close at 3,549.52. The index tracks the performance of 31 locally listed companies with a significant equity interest held by entities in the Chinese mainland. Hang Seng Mainland Composite Index moved down 45.09 points, or 1.34 percent, to close at 3,324.24. Introduced on October 3, 2001 and readjusted on September 11, 2006, Hang Seng Mainland Composite Index gauges the performance of 103 Hong Kong-listed companies with principal places of business in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.
