China's energy cooperation regionalization trend

Energy cooperation regionalization is becoming a trend in China.

"I hope the plans for energy cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta areas will be worked out as soon as possible," Wang Yongming, vice governor of East China's Zhejiang Province said recently.

Each energy development plan for the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province have been examined by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the plans for the East Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Northeast China's Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces have been pre-checked, according to Zhang Kang with the Exploration & Production Research Institute of Sinopec.

Energy cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta will focus on the establishment of platforms for regional traffic, energy, science, technology and environment. Energy platform works will be initiated by Zhejiang Province.
