Dell Inc taps into Chinese market, unveiling new piece of technology
Dell Inc, a multinational computer technology company based in the United States, recently unveiled an all-in-one computer, in a bid to target China's growing crowd of gaming enthusiasts.
The mid-priced piece of technology, titled Inspiron, received an entire overhaul – inside and out – to tap into the back-to-school market. The 27-inch model now stands more premium than the existing version, with a new thin-bezel display. The latest Inspiron can be bought from 8,999 yuan ($1,325) in China.
The unveiling of the latest model was also part of a company effort to expand its presence in China, which has become one of the world's largest PC markets.
Last month, Dell Inc showcased its newest PC to the world, displaying the work of photographers in high definition. This move was to cater to the ever increasing demand for photography-related equipment.
The Alienware 13, another computer released by Dell Inc, was further designed to cater to the demand of photographers working outdoors, due to its lightness in weight, ability to function well in photo edition and storage size. The reaction time of its OLED displayer also runs as short as a millisecond, which was a guarantee in demonstrating flawless photographic work.
"We should produce high-end products to meet the top one percent of demands," Wang Lijun, corporate senior vice president of the Consumer and Small Business Department of Dell China, said.
"There are still many consumers pursuing the ultimate experience, so we will launch more products to provide better user experiences."
Feng Jianguo, a professor at the School of Art at the Tsinghua University, said he had witnessed a rapid development in science and technology in recent years.
"There is a trend where mechanical cameras and photosensitive materials will be replaced by digital cameras and digital imaging materials," he said.
"Using its great power, information technology is bringing more possibilities for photography artistic works. Photographic art is embracing a brand new era of revolution".
