The China International Green Industry Expo 2010 (CIGIE 2010) is an important international green industry exhibition hosted by the Chinese government and held at the Beijing Exhibition Center, Nov 24 to 27.
The sponsors are 12 central government administrations, which include the Ministry of Commerce, the Publicity Department of Central Committee of CPC; the National Development and Reform Commission; the Chinese Academy of Sciences, State Intellectual Property Office; Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Transport, and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development ministries.
With the theme "Green Economy, Mutual Benefits", the expo aims to encourage a scientific development outlook, improve China's economic model, strengthen cooperation with other nations in green technology, and deal with global warming.
The expo will have on display some of the latest products and solutions in the clean energy, energy efficiency, environmental protection, low-carbon, and recycling businesses from 25 countries around the world.
It will also show China's achievements in green business developments and in building an ecological community that will be an inspiration for low-carbon businesses, lifestyles, and consumer choices.
I believe that CIGIE 2010 will increase international cooperation and people's environmental protection awareness, and help introduce more advanced equipment and technology for green businesses.
Let us all take this opportunity with CIGIE to push ourselves to build a resource-saving, environmentally friendly society.
And, with that, I wish CIGIE 2010 all the success in the world.
