BEIJING: China on Sunday published the compilation of former senior leader Li Peng's speech scripts and writings on sustainable development.
The book, jointly released by the Central Party Literature Press and the China Electric Power Press, includes 141 pieces of Li's reports, speeches, talks and writings on China's sustainable development from 1983 to 2009, with a total of 330,000 characters.
Some of the documents were made public for the first time.
Li, born in 1928, served as China's premier from 1988 to 1998 and chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress from 1998 to 2003.
