British Prime Minister David Cameron appointed Jack Ma to advise him on business on the eve of President Xi Jinping's four-day state visit to the UK last year.
When Cameron met with Ma during his three-day visit to China in December 2013, he posted a selfie he took with Ma on Twitter.
