China-Pakistan Entrepreneurs International Seminar opens in Beijing

Chen Huan, deputy head of Chinese working group of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Preparation said AIIB is an open and inclusive multilateral development institution, and is a professional, efficient infrastructure investment and financing platform to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation. AIIB is committed to promoting the infrastructure construction and interconnection in Asia, including relevant infrastructure projects of AIIB member countries along the "One Belt and One Road", which conforms to the expectation of countries along the route and is of great significance to accelerate the interconnection of infrastructure of each country and push regional economic cooperation. Chen Huan said AIIB is willing to develop close cooperation with countries including Pakistan along the route; in particular the infrastructure investment will pave the way for the sustainable development for decades to come.

Khalid Masood, Pakistan's Ambassador to China further introduces political, economic, social, cultural, ecological and other aspects of Pakistan. He hopes to have a further pragmatic promotion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor through deep business cooperation connection. He said that thanks to the unremitting efforts of generations of leaders of China and Pakistan, the diplomatic relations between the two countries is now solid like the rock and now China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project, as the latest case of the global economy and regional development, will further promote bilateral relations. President Xi Jinping puts forward the far-sighted Silk Road Economic Belt and Maritime Silk Road construction, which will bring a round of new era of regional interconnection and regional economic integration. Pakistan has a unique geographical advantage and is the ideal place for the region's cross-regional trade and services. Pakistan has large number of consumers with 190 million people, dominated by young people, and the natural resources are very rich. Pakistan's economy is very strong. Ambassador Khalid said he firmly believed this business seminar and the year-end business community connection from both countries will not only bring closer bilateral relations, but pave the way for the commercial and economic cooperation of both sides.

Chen Xinfa, Party Secretary of Karamay in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region said in his speech that as an important gateway opening to the west, Xinjiang is the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, possessing unique geographical, economic, cultural and social advantages in carrying out China-Pakistani cooperation. Also its role and function are very crucial to the China- Pakistan Corridor construction. Its construction will bring inexhaustible power for the development of Xinjiang and Pakistan. Karamay City possesses an excellent geographical advantage, industrial base and talent pool, and has also accumulated a wealth of experience in industrialization, urbanization, and information technology. To undertake and promote China-Pakistan economic corridor construction, Karamay has unique advantages and great potential. As one of the main organizers for the Karamay Forum, Karamay City will strive to prepare well for the 2016 Karamay Forum, bridging a platform and creating more favorable conditions for the economic and trade exchanges, and capacity-building activities of enterprises from both sides.
