Jen said he will hold discussions with the organizers from the World Economic Forum and propose a new topic for the next session: the reform of China's educational system.

Sun Yinhuan, board chairman of developer Yida Group, said the meeting focuses on one global theme, and participants from various countries and industries share their experience and opinions.

"We can find our own direction through dialogue," he said.

Sun was the first local entrepreneur who joined the Summer Davos when it began in 2007.

"Such an international summit held in our hometown is a great opportunity for local development. It facilitates international commutation for the whole city," he said.

Sun took advantage of the meeting and invited participants to visit his projects in Dalian, such as the Dalian Software Park, a successful example involving the operation and management of software parks in China. Dozens of global leading companies have set up offices at the park.

The real estate tycoon suggests the summit should offer more opportunities for local youth.

"Since the Dalian government invests so much in the meeting, why don't we give more excellent young men and women a chance to benefit from it?" said Sun.

Yang Jian, 31, is a member of the Global Shapers Community for young people who are exceptional in terms of potential, achievement and the drive to make a contribution to their communities. He has attended several meetings organized by the WEF in Geneva, Beijing, Tianjin and Dalian.

"I can meet global leaders and find what the world's biggest shots are thinking about. We are equal. I can learn from them directly. It's really amazing," he said.
