The US based Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA) was hosted by ReSource Pro on Sept 21 in Qingdao during the second leg of their one week visit to China.
The delegation was made up of 12 senior executives representing 10 different American insurance enterprises. All of the delegates are board members of the TMPAA, an organization dedicated to supporting insurance businesses that specialize in underwriting niche industries including restaurants, hotels, real estate and youth clubs. The Association represents more than 200 such businesses that play an important role in a $17 billion program marketplace.
A reception meeting was hosted by Governor Hua Yusong from the Shinan District Government to build up bilateral relationships and seek potential cooperation in the future. Among other attendees were Hou Qingying, General Manager of China Life Insurance Company and Liu Xiyan, Deputy General Manager of PICC Property & Casualty Company. The delegation learned about the growth and opportunities in the Chinese insurance market while sharing information about their industry specialties.
Jeremy Hitzig, Chief Executive Officer of Distinguished Programs (the parent company of ReSource Pro) is currently serving a two-year term as President of the TMPAA. In that role, he served as head of the delegation and stated that the tour was aimed to investigate the development of the insurance industry and seek investment opportunities in China as well as consider the potential of cooperation between the two countries.
"We launched ReSource Pro in 2003 and it has successfully grown into a leading business process outsourcing firm, employing more than 1,000 people in Qingdao," said Hitzig. "We wanted to share our experience that Qingdao is a premier investment destination for businesses and a source of competitive advantage over India-based rivals," he added.
Matthew Bruno, founder and Managing Director of ReSource Pro China, led the delegation on a tour of ReSource Pro's facilities at the Shinan Software Park and highlighted many of the advantages of being based in Qingdao. "This city has provided substantial talent, policy support and a favorable environment for our business and we are willing to strengthen the friendship between US and China by introducing Qingdao to our friends and partners in America," he said.
