NANNING - The 9th China-ASEAN Expo closed Tuesday in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, recording increased trade volume growth between firms from China and ASEAN members.
As of 4 pm Tuesday, the total trade volume at this year's expo reached $1.778 billion, up 3.9 percent from the previous expo, said Lan Tianli, secretary-general of the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, at a press conference held after the expo's closing ceremony.
Lan said 118 international economic agreements were signed, with total investment up 10.6 percent from last year's expo to $8.204 billion.
The 9th China-ASEAN Expo attracted 52,000 people to participate in the five-day event, up 2.8 percent from last year, Lan said.
