An international festival of micro films by college students will take place in Beijing in October.
The event is co-organized by the Chinese Collegial Association for Visual Art, the Chinese Cultural Information Association, the New York Film Academy and several other organizations from China and abroad.
The festival will have contests for one-minute and single-shot films, as well as documentaries and feature films that are no longer than 10 minutes.
More than 800 submissions from more than 20 countries and regions will take part in the festival. Outstanding works will be recommended for inclusion in important international film events, such as the Cologne Film Festival in Germany.
A forum focusing on the history and future of micro films in China will also be included as part of the festival, with a number of film experts from China and abroad as participants.
