Beijing Benz Automotive Co Ltd hit a record high on May 30 when the 10,000th vehicle made during the month rolled off its recently renovated assembly line.
Xu Heyi, president of the joint venture, termed it a landmark achievement as he recalled the early days when Beijing Benz produced just a few thousand cars a year.
Established in 2005, the partnership between Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co Ltd and Daimler AG makes the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, C-Class and GLK-Class in China.
Xu credited the long-standing efforts of its entire staff, management and experts from Daimler AG for the new monthly record.
Information from the company said the achievement is also the result of large-scale renovation at company's plants earlier this year that made them more automated and efficient.
Since the plants resumed full-scale production in March, monthly production has steadily risen, it added.
Beijing Benz implemented the renovation following its excellent market performance in recent years.
The company sold 93,000 cars in 2011, a sharp 86 percent increase over the previous year.
Xu said Beijing Benz generating more than 50 percent of the Beijing Benz profit at Beijing Automotive last year.
The joint venture also accounted for 42 percent of Mercedes-Benz's sales in China in 2011.
