Chinese stocks slump over 1.7% Monday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks extended losses Monday on worries about slowing domestic GDP, a day before the government will announce key economic data for the fourth quarter last year.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dived 1.71 percent, or 38.39 points, to close at 2,206.19.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 2.25 percent, or 203.11 points, to finish at 8,827.47.
