Shanghai General Motors will recall 869 of its imported 2011 Chevrolet Captiva crossover SUVs in China starting Dec 2, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said.
The recall was issued due to a fault with the fill caps on the Captiva's fuel tanks. The fill caps may become detached when driven at a high speed, resulting in potential fuel leak. The joint venture will conduct free inspection and replacement of all affected vehicles.
