BEIJING -- Beijing Capital International Airport on Wednesday invited Dr Kazuo Inamori, a Japanese management guru and CEO of Japan Airlines (JAL), as a management advisor.

It's the most outstanding characteristic of the service industry to give your guests services from the bottom of your heart and to please and move them, said the 79-year-old Inamori at a lecture on why philosophies are necessary in management.
Inamori, a well-respected entrepreneur and founder of electronics giant Kyocera Corp., began in February last year his tenure as chairman and CEO of JAL, Asia's largest carrier, and led the company out of difficulties stemming from its previous bankruptcy.
Inamori has pioneered his "amoeba management" theory whereby each unit of a company makes its own plans under the guidance of an "amoeba leader." Members of the unit pool their knowledge and efforts to realize business targets, giving all employees an active role.
