BEIJING - China's Supreme People's Court on Tuesday introduced a judicial interpretation to clarify what are considered fake currency notes related crimes.
|
The Interpretation defines two crimes, "forging fake currency notes" in the image of authentic money, and "transforming authentic money" such as by cutting, scratching, or reprinting authentic money.
The interpretation also makes clear that stitching pieces of authentic and fake notes together should be deemed as forging fake notes and punished accordingly.
It also clarified crimes such as forging foreign currencies, commemorative coins and similar crimes.
The judicial interpretation is to take effect Nov 3.
