China to sell 20b yuan book-entry T-bonds

BEIJING - China's Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Friday it would issue 20 billion yuan ($2.95 billion) of book-entry discount treasury bonds from Monday.

The issue price of the discount bonds will be 99.059 yuan, and they will have a term of 182 days.

The bonds will be issued from July 12 to July 14 and will become tradable on inter-bank and securities bond market from July 16.

A discount bond is a bond issued at less than par value that redeems at par value.
