About 10 million tourists came to visit Shandong, the host of the Chinese National Games, from the official opening till Sunday, according to the statistics from the Shandong Tourism Bureau.

It was 25 percent higher than that of last year, said the Bureau, adding that the boost should be attributed to the hosting of the Games.

The 11th Chinese National Games will last until Oct 28.
