(Xinhua)
Updated: 2009-09-27 13:39 China's anti-graft chief He Guoqiang on Friday urged the disciplinary inspection and supervision organs of all levels to strive for a new prospect in the fight against corruption and the building of a clean government. He, secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China (CPC), made the call at a seminar attended by retired veteran officials of the commission and the Ministry of Supervision. The seminar was held by the commission and the ministry to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The retired officials are the witnesses of the revolution, construction and reform of New China, said He. "Their arduous endeavor played an integral role in the development of the Party and the country." He called on the officials working for the disciplinary inspection and supervision organs to carry on the tradition and press ahead the work with innovation and confidence to provide sound support for the country's reform, development and stability.
