Nokia Siemens Networks wins 7.6b yuan deal from China

 Nokia Siemens Networks said it had won contracts totaling 7.6 billion yuan from China Mobile and China Telecom to build the 3G networks in China.

Under the deals, Nokia Siemens Networks will provide equipment to China Unicom to build WCDMA networks in 11 provinces and help China Mobile build TD-SCDMA and GSM networks.

The network equipment supply contracts were signed during a visit by a Chinese business delegation to Europe, which is expected to sign deals worth 15 billion yuan.
