Rajesh Kishore

Rajesh Kishore is the officer of the Indian Administrative Service, Chief Executive Officer of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority, and Commissioner of Relief for Gujarat State.

He holds Master's Degrees in Physics from the University of Delhi and in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. He has also earned a Diploma in Social Development from the University of Wales in Swanseam UK. During his experience in public governance of over 27 years at both the federal and state levels, he has worked in the areas of public financial management, land administration and reforms, science and technology promotion, commercial taxes administration and gender and development, besides being currently in the field of disaster management.

In the area of disaster management, he has had wide experience in drought management, cyclone relief, flood management, earthquake reconstruction and in livelihood restoration issues, both in terms of mitigation and emergency response.
