Insurer presents new unit-linked insurance

Contrary to most insurers, who lowered the threshold of their investment-linked products to lure more customers, Skandia-BSAM Life Insurance Co Ltd lifted its new investment-linked insurance threshold to three million yuan (US$414,937.76), topping the domestic insurance market.

The new investment-linked product will be sold through private banks and third party financial intermediate agents.

It is true that Skandia-BSAM's previous investment-linked products only require at least 50,000 to 100,000 yuan a year, and even several hundred yuan a month in terms of customer's premiums.

But in fact, "the current Skanida-BSAM's customers with their investment-linked insurance account assets of over three million yuan account for more than six percent of the total," said Liang Ziheng, the general manager of Skandia-BSAM's marketing department.
